Round 1 of TSN.cas 2013 Play of the Year Showdown keeps the plays coming with a couple of beautiful plays from two storied franchises. Edmonton Oilers forward Ales Hemsky shows off some sweet skills with some great moves, while Boston Bruins agitator, Brad Marchand displays some unexpected hands with his gorgeous effort. Ryan Smyth gets this POY entry started with a selfless pass to the streaking Hemsky. From there, Hemsky strings together a series of quick moves, turns Shane OBrien inside-out, blows past the stalled defender, and wraps it all up with a great finish. Certainly one of the fastest POY candidates weve had so far. In a great individual effort against the Buffalo Sabres, Marchand takes the puck off the half-boards and pushes towards the Sabres net. With a couple clever moves, Marchand is able to dust a flat-footed Tyler Myers, slide by another Sabres defender and make quick work a sprawling Ryan Miller. A pretty fantastic POY play for an agitator. You can watch the highlights and make your decision here (http://poy.tsn.ca). Every vote counts so watch all the plays and take part in the TSN.ca Play of the Year Showdown. Player facts: - Hemsky has battled injuries often in his career, but when hes healthy, he is a big producer. Hemsky led the Edmonton Oilers in each of the 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 seasons in both assists and total points. - Marchand has had quite a solid 2012-13 season, leading the Boston Bruins in points (36) and goals (18). Marchand is one of only 11 NHL players who have scored two-or-more goals in a Stanley Cup Finals Game 7. Fun facts: - Back in 2005, during the NHL lockout, Hemsky was at a bar back in his native Czech Republic when he was stabbed in the left side of his neck with a broken beer bottle. In the end, he received 10-15 stitches and no permanent damage from the unprovoked attack. On a happier note, Hemsky holds Edmontons team record for fastest two goals in the regular season (seven seconds apart). - Marchand has a couple unusual nicknames, from Marshmont (which came from a radio station caller who mispronounced his name) to Nose Face Killah, the creative nicknames have stuck with him, but the name he is most often referred to amongst Bruin players is Honey Badger.Supply Air VaporMax Shop . -- Ty Montgomery had 290 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns, and fifth-ranked Stanford held on to beat No. Grey Air VaporMax On Sale http://www.cheapairvapormaxoutlet.com/ .
