ANKARA, Turkey -- Turkish authorities have issued a warrant for the arrest of former soccer star and legislator Hakan Sukur over his links to a U.S.-based Muslim cleric, accused by Turkey of masterminding last months failed coup, media reports said Friday.Meanwhile, Turkeys foreign minister told reporters that 32 Turkish diplomats who were called back to Turkey as part of an investigation into the coup attempt had failed to return.Turkey has launched a massive crackdown on alleged supporters of the movement led by Fethullah Gulen in the aftermath of the July 15 coup attempt that left more than 270 people dead, raising concerns among European nations and human rights groups.More than 35,000 people have been detained for questioning while tens of thousands of others from government jobs, including in the judiciary, media, education, health care, military and local government. Gulen, who runs a network of worldwide charities and schools from self-imposed exile in Pennsylvania, has denied any knowledge or involvement in the coup. The state-run Anadolu Agency said an arrest warrant was issued for Sukur late Thursday, accusing him of membership in an armed terror organization. His father Selmet Sukur was detained in the northwestern province of Sakarya on Friday, hours after a warrant was also issued against him, the agency reported. A court has also ordered that both mens assets in Turkey be seized, Anadolu said.Sukur, who reportedly left Turkey last year, played for Inter Milan and Galatasaray and was Turkeys top goal-scorer in international competitions. He has made no secret of his affiliation to Gulen, and resigned from the ruling party in 2013 following a government rift with the movement.During a joint news conference with his Iranian counterpart, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that of the 208 diplomatic personnel serving in foreign posts recalled following the coup, 32 had not complied and had fled to other countries.Cavusoglu added that the ministry was in touch with the countries to which they had fled, seeking to secure their return.Turkey has branded Gulens movement a terror organization and wants the cleric returned to Turkey to face trial. Washington has said it would need evidence of the clerics involvement, and says the regular extradition process must be allowed to take its course.During Fridays press conference, Cavusoglu said that a delegation from the U.S. Department of Justice would be arriving on Aug. 22 and meet with their Turkish counterparts on the following two days to discuss the extradition request.Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag said the U.S. delegation would include three Justice Department experts and one from the State Department.Germanys Foreign Ministry meanwhile, confirmed a report by the weekly Der Spiegel that a German woman who was arrested in Turkey following the coup attempt was released on Friday. It said in an emailed statement that it welcomes the release and continues to press for the principles of the rule of law to be upheld in working through the attempted coup.---Associated Press writer Cinar Kiper in Istanbul and Geir Moulson in Berlin contributed.Venta Zapatillas Nike Online . Now, the top-ranked Crimson Tide, with mostly new players, finally gets another shot at Knight when he leads the sixth-ranked Aggies into Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday in a matchup of the Southeastern Conferences top teams. His career with the Sooners never took off, but Knights doing just fine now. The Sugar Bowl was a stunner at the time even if it seems like ancient history to him.It was a long time ago, Knight said this week. Im not even at the same school anymore. They talk about its me and I guess (Mississippis) Chad Kelly are the two teams that have beaten Alabama but again thats so far in the past that you cant look into that now.Its still noteworthy to reflect on just how good Knight was on that January night in New Orleans against a strong Alabama defense. Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops had kept his quarterback a mystery leading up to the game: Would he start Knight or Blake Bell?He chose wisely. Knight wound up passing for 348 yards and four touchdowns to win Sugar Bowl MVP honors and outshine Heisman Trophy runner up AJ McCarron for the 16-point underdogs. His 32 completions set a Sugar Bowl record and was only 15 shy of his total the rest of the season. We won and that was a good feeling, Knight said. Again that was a great game, a long time ago. We came out and played really well and got a win. Thats just another win under our belt back then and I dont think too much (about) it nowadays. He has more pressing matters on his mind. Knight is thriving in coach Kevin SSumlins offense at Texas A&M.dddddddddddd He has passed for 1,500 yards and nine touchdowns while rushing for 502 yards and another nine TDs.More importantly, he has guided the Aggies to a 6-0 start and four straight SEC wins. Knight has passed for 200-plus yards and rushed for more than 80 in each of his last three league games.Saban doesnt need to replay the Sugar Bowl to be impressed with Knight.Hes very athletic. Hes very quick, Saban said. Hes a good decision-maker. He makes quick decisions with the ball. He changes angles of throws and gets the ball out of his hands quick on all the (run-pass options), and can extend plays in the passing game when they need him to. This guys a complete player at the position. I thought he was that when we played him before and I think hes even better now. Now, Knight gets his biggest challenge perhaps since that Sugar Bowl. Alabama (7-0, 4-0) has the nations top rushing defense and held Tennessees dual-threat quarterback Joshua Dobbs to 61 yards of total offense in last weekends 49-10 win.Trevor Knight makes all the throws, can run, can hurt you with his legs and his arms, so its definitely going to be a challenge for us, Alabama linebacker Ryan Anderson said. The present is whats on the minds of Knight, Sumlin, Saban and Alabama players and what they want to talk about. Sumlin said he hasnt even watched that Sugar Bowl.Storyline is two teams in 2016 who are two Top-10 teams playing to try and win the West, Sumlin said. Thats where we are.But Knight vs. Alabama makes for a good sidebar.---AP Sports Writer Kristie Rieken contributed to this report.---AP college football website: www.collegefootball.ap.org ' ' '
