During the course of the long NBA season, in order to statistically differentiate our teams from the competition in a fantasy league, we must be the first to identify breakout campaigns. Yes, our early-round superstars need to show up on most nights, but to really emerge from the pack in a sharp 10- or 12-team league, midround breakouts and waiver wire warriors are required.Avery Bradley of the Boston Celtics represents a midround commodity in the midst of a transition to stardom. A member of the All-Defensive team last season, Bradley is currently (and surprisingly) ranked third among NBA guards in rebounds with a robust rate of 7.9 per night. On an NBA team in need of his defensive prowess, Bradley can certainly sustain his rich rate of 37.1 minutes per game -- fifth-most among guards. With Evan Turners ball-dominant profile now in Portland, Bradley is enjoying career highs in shooting volume, 3-point production, assists and scoring. With at least 1.1 steals per game in the past four seasons, we should also expect a positive correction in the larceny department for Bradley.TJ Warren?of the?Phoenix Suns?more than?qualifies as a waiver warrior. After going undrafted in a majority of formats, Warren ranks 10th in the league in points per touch (.408) and eighth in shots per game among NBA forwards, ahead of?LeBron James and Paul George. Still available in nearly a quarter of ESPN leagues, Warrens 83 percent leap in scoring this season is the kind of ascension required to win a competitive fantasy league. As for discovering the next player to make a huge statistical leap, Id immediately snatch up the Pelicans Jrue Holiday. Reports suggest he could make his 2016-17 debut this coming week. Last season, Holiday tied with Kyrie Irving?at No. 7 among NBA point guards in usage rate while ranking 10th in both drives per game and assists per pass. Holiday is still available in nearly 60 percent of ESPN leagues.Access the downloadable forecaster chart PDF hereMatchup ratings are based on a scale from 1 (poor matchup) to 10 (excellent matchup). These are calculated using a formula that evaluates the teams year-to-date and past 10 games statistics, their opponents numbers in those categories and their performance in home/road games depending on where the game is to be played. The column to the left lists the teams total number of games scheduled, as well as home games, and lists the overall rating from 1-10 for that teams weekly schedule.Ratings roundupThe Thunder earn a perfect rating for the upcoming slate thanks to a rich four-game stretch, two of which should prove truly fantasy-friendly against the Brooklyn Nets and Indiana Pacers, two teams in the top eight in pace. Shares of the Pelicans are also intriguing this week, as they start the week against the Celtics (last in the league in defensive rating) and the Magic, who rank 29th in that same category. As for teams with tougher setups, the Kings play three opponents which all rank in the top eight in defensive rating, earning the dreaded 1 matchup tag. The Hornets also face an unenviable stretch, with just three games on the week, two of which come against solid defensive foes Atlanta and New Orleans.Celtics shiftBoston allowed the sixth-fewest points per 100 possessions last season (100.9). This campaign the Celtics have been a bit more generous to the opposition, at 112.3 points. Its early, but the increase nevertheless marks a troubling 11.3 percent shift in defensive rating. Digging deeper, Boston is last in the league in rebounding rate, securing just 45.3 percent of all available boards this season. The Celtics are also getting scorched from the perimeter, allowing opponents to shoot 41.1 percent from 20-24 feet, the fifth-highest rate in the league.Another notable regression in defensive production can be found in Indiana, as the Pacers had the third-best rating last season (100.2), but currently rank 28th overall at 108.6 points per 100 possessions.Targeting turnoversFor streaming and daily fantasy purposes alike, its helpful to know which teams turn the ball over at a disproportionate high rate. The league average turnover rate per play has been 13.2 percent. Four of the five highest turnover rates in the league come from teams featuring young starting point guards. I dont think thats a coincidence.Miles aheadAs of Friday afternoon,?C.J. Miles?of the Pacers was the second-most added player during the past seven days in ESPN leagues. The market is warming to the idea that Miles may continue to be among the most efficient scorers in the league so far this season, with double-digit points in all but two games. Among players with at least 20 minutes per game, Miles leads the league in points per touch (.517).His upside is limited as a key bench scorer, but such an effective per-touch rate is a strong sign of his potential, should Miles ever be able to vault ahead of Monta Ellis in the Indiana rotation. Ellis, conversely, ranks a lowly 164th in the league in points per touch.Easy on the insideWhen it comes to making lineup decisions for busy Wednesday and weekend slates, finding points of distinction in matchups is essential to success. For example, if you are having trouble deciding between a collection of frontcourt commodities for a limited number of lineup spots, targeting the most generous interior defenses in the league can be a huge help. To that end, here are the five softest teams within five feet of the basket in terms of field goal percentage allowed.Robert Parish Celtics Jersey . -- Quarterback Will Finch threw for 252 yards and three touchdowns, and Yannick Harou rushed in two scores as the No. Kevin Mchale Jersey . Roman Josi had a goal and an assist to lead the Predators to a 4-1 victory over the Dallas Stars on Monday night. http://www.authenticcelticsproshop.com/Paul-Pierce-Jersey/ . Carey Price didnt, but he still came out on top against one of his rivals for the No. 1 job at the Sochi Games. The Anahim Lake, B.C., native was stellar in making 39 saves in his home province and Lars Eller got credit for a bizarre short-handed winner as the Canadiens defeated the Canucks 4-1. John Havlicek Jersey . -- Chicago Bears cornerback Tim Jennings was selected Monday to his second straight Pro Bowl, while guard Kyle Long made it after a solid rookie season. Shaquille ONeal Celtics Jersey .Y. - New Orleans forward Anthony Davis was chosen Friday to replace the injured Kobe Bryant in the NBA All-Star game that will be played in his home city.West Indies head coach Phil Simmons has said having more seniors in the T20 side compared to the Test squad is a good feeling as it makes things easy for him for the two upcoming T20Is against India in Lauderhill, Florida. As opposed to the inexperienced Test side that lost 2-0 to India, their T20 squad features Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell and Kieron Pollard among other specialist T20 players. They will also play under the new captain Carlos Brathwaite after Darren Sammy was dropped from the side. Its good to have all the senior guys back and they make things easy for me because its a case of them doing all the work and they know this format inside out, Simmons said on Thursday in Lauderhill. So it gives me a chance to just enjoy them freeing themselves out there.Simmons also said being the T20 champions helped the sides confidence, comparing them with the 1980s Test side, which dominated the longer format for years. In this context, I think its a case where we are world champions and its something we have made our own, similar to back in the 80s when we made Test cricket our own. We always had the team to beat in T20 cricket so from that point of view weve got a lot better and all the guys are loving playing it. But its a stepping-stone to one-day cricket too.Brathwaite has played only eight T20Is so far and played only the first of the four Tests against India, scoring 0 and an unbeaten 51. While he had recently said the T20 players were mature enough to handle a change in leadership, Simmons said the objective of the new captain and the entire side would be to build on the World T20 win in India.I think his (Brathwaites) main mindset is that we have to continue where Sammy left us and the good work that Sammy did in this position, Simmons said. I think thats the mindset of all players that we have to continue the work we did in the [T20] World Cup and before that.Even though their T20 squad is vastly different from the Test side, Simmons said there would be an easy transition in the dressing room because the T20 side has broadly remained the same since the World T20, which they won without Narine and Pollard.Yeah, it could be a bit different but I think theres only three players here who played in that [Test] series, Simmons explained. So it is not that much of a transition because the three players know how to play this and one of them was the best player in the World Cup, you know, batting wise. I think we are easy with that transition. We still prepare for the two days here the same way we would have prepared before. Its just that the Indian team has been together for longer but we are over here preparing and we wiill do that over the next two days.ddddddddddddSimmons also emphasised on the kind of impact players like Russell and Narine could make in the shortest format. Russell recently struck a 44-ball 100 packed with 11 sixes and played a crucial role, along with Gayle, in taking Jamaica Tallawahs to their second CPL title. Narine took 14 wickets in the CPL with an economy rate of 5.55, and also finished as the second-highest wicket-taker in the tri-series against South Africa and Australia in June.I dont think theres much to be said about Andre, Simmons said. From what hes on the pitch, he just gives everything over there and hes always going to be our main player for us. Once he starts, with either bat or ball, we are in a position of winning.I havent seen the surface properly yet but Narine played here for Trinidad & Tobago in the CPL and he has done well and adapted well. So Id like the same from him.Their squad will also be bolstered by Johnson Charles, the second-highest run-scorer in the CPL, Andre Fletcher, Lendl Simmons and legspinner Samuel Badree, the No. 1 ranked bowler in T20Is, who had injured himself in the World T20 final. Simmons stated that beating India in T20s, just like they had done in the World T20 semi-final in Mumbai, was going to be a bigger motivation than their T20 ranking, which is third currently behind New Zealand and India. It (ranking) is motivation but I think, as in Mumbai, just to beat India because thats always going to be the team to beat in T20 cricket because theyve commanded the format for a long period. So winning against India is always going to be high on the agenda. Where we get after that, we are happy at that. The only thing that we are doing is that we will prepare as best as we can because India is going to be coming looking for revenge for the semi-final loss and we have to make sure that we are ready for whatever they bring to us.Simmons was also asked about the recent discussions the WICB held with the players during the WICB/WIPA Players Symposium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and he barely commented on that, but sounded more excited about the coming matches at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium in Lauderhill.I was there, and Im happy that discussions were held, he said. Its not about holding discussions; its about where you go from there. Lets see where it takes us.This is an awesome stadium, awesome! Looking at the CPL, the wicket seemed to be very good too. So if the wicket is as good as it was in CPL in a stadium like this, we are in for a treat over the weekend. ' ' '
